  64-bit internal acceleration.
  64-bit DRAM interface on 5434 but only with 2Mb memory.
  Excellent 32-bit host interface (5434 PCI interface very good).
  More or less compatible with 5426/8.

  CL-GD5430 'Budget' version. Limited to 32-bit DRAM interface,
       even with 2Mb. A bit faster than the 542x.
  CL-GD5434 Has 64-bit interface to DRAM with 2Mb memory.
       Good speed. Good truecolor acceleration.
  CL-GD5434-E    Supports higher memory clock (60 MHz).

  Verdict

  Performance:
     With 32-bit interface to video memory: fair,
          faster than 5426, comparable to S3 805.
     With 64-bit interface to video memory: very good.
     Looses a bit on blits in benchmarks,
          otherwise good all-round (5434).

  DOS perf: Excellent. PCI very good (burst mode).

  Max. res for 5430 and 5434/1Mb is same as 542x.

  Max. res 8bpp:  1280x1024 @ 60 Hz
  Max. res 16bpp: 1024x768 @ 75 Hz
  Max. res 24bpp: 800x600 @ 60 Hz (32-bit pixels).
                  800x600 @ 72 Hz possible with fast enough DRAM timing.
  Max dot clock:
     5430: 85 MHz 8bpp, 50 MHz 16bpp
     5434: 108 MHz 8bpp, 85 MHz 16bpp, 45+ MHz 32bpp

  CL-GD5434 often equipped with only 1Mb,
       which severely cripples performance.
 

We will try to resolve this issue step by step by performing the following:

1. Uninstalling all the CD writing software.
2. Cleaning the registry by running the registry utility.
3. Installing the present Operating system compatible software .

step 0:
To resolve the issue, please follow the below steps:

1. Click on start menu and select control panel.
2. In the control panel,double click on the system icon and select the hardware tab.
3. In hardware,click on the device manager and select the CD-writer and click the plus sign.
4. After that, right click on the CD-writer and select uninstall option.
5. After uninstalling the CD-writer restart the computer.

step 1:
After that, please follow the below steps to uninstall the software:

1. Click on start menu and select control panel.
2. In the control panel,double click on the Add/Remove programs icon and select the HP writing software and also uninstall any third-party burning software like Nero etc.
3. Click on remove button to uninstall.

step 2:
When we uninstall the software, some of the uninstalled entries will remain in the registry, These entries will create conflicts with the existing software. These uninstalled entries must be deleted from the registry. Please download and install the below Registry Cleaner utility to delete the uninstalled entries: URL After installing the utility, please run it to clean the registry.

step 3:
Now place the current operating system compatible software and drivers installation disc and install the software. If you do not have the software and drivers installation disc then please download the free downloadable software from the below websites. Please download the following:

• Recordnow CD mastering software: URL
• HP DLA software: URL

Install the downloaded software:

RecordNow:

1. Open the folder where recordnow_ver35b_enu.exe was saved and double-click it to launch the HP RecordNow-Installshield Wizard.
2. Follow the prompts on the screen to install the RecordNow software.
3. Reboot your system before using the software.

DLA:

1. After you have rebooted the system, open the folder where dla_ver31_enu.exe was saved and double-click it to launch the HP DLA-Installshield Wizard.
2. Follow the prompts on the screen to install the DLA software.
3. Reboot your system before using the software.
