Getting to know the fossil era is an organized visit addressed to school groups, with didactic materials to study the exhibition contents.

The Elementary, Primary and Secondary School dossiers are based on specific didactic material. The activities are to be carried out in the museum and at School. These dossiers are designed to support the students and their teachers. An original copy of this material will be sent to the teacher once the activity has been arranged. This will allow teachers to make a set of photocopies for each student. May we please remind teachers that each student should bring a pencil and an eraser.

With the local tour "a passage through time" the MMAL intends to convey the important architectural legacy that is still conserved in the village nowadays. Almost all the examples are buildings which have lost their original function or have also undergone architectural changes. However, they are living evidence of the history of Alcover.

The tour begins and ends at the museum with the aim of allowing the visitors the chance to walk in time. Thus, establishing a connection between the visitor and these stones; a silent witness to the town's important past, that of the golden age of the Renaissance. All in all, a local tour that has been planned and conceived as another tourist and didactic interest to complement what the museum offers to the public.

Family activity at the Municipal Museum of Alcover

Experience the museum while listening to the story "the Stone Fish"

It is an activity for families. Parents can take their children (especially those aged from 4 to 14). The activity takes place in the permanent room of palaeontology of the Municipal Museum of Alcover
By listening to Àngels Ollé's story, youngsters can discover and understand in a ludic and didactic way how the mountains of Prade's surroundings were like 240 million years ago.

The activity includes the audiovisual "The Mountains of Prades 240 million years ago. The fossils of Alcover - Mont-ral", and the Museum visit.
