Go to places that you used to go
But they don't feel the same
See the faces that you used to know
But they forget your name

Versio multicultural : Playing For Change | Song Around The World {****} vaja colla de musics !
Then you walk to the window and stare at the moon
Riding high and lonesome through a starlit sky
And it comes to you how it all slips away
Youth and beauty are gone one day
No matter what you dream or feel or say
It ends in dust and disarray
How can the light that burned so brightly
Suddenly burn so pale ?

O Crown of Light, o Darkened One,
A sip of wine, a cigarette,
And O my love, I still recall
O Crown of Light, O Darkened One...
So come, my friends, be not afraid.
Boogie Street uTube (with lyrics), album 10 new songs, torrent -> Sharon Robinson wrote this tune |
|
I'm your man / Leonard Cohen
If you want a lover
If you want a boxer
Ah, the moon's too bright
And if you've got to sleep a moment on the road
|
"Boogie Street to me was that street of work and desire, the ordinary life
and also the place we live in most of the time that is relieved by the embrace of your children,
or the kiss of your beloved, or the peak experience in which you yourself are dissolved,
and there is no one to experience it so you feel the refreshment when you come back from those moments …
So we all hope for those heavenly moments,
which we get in those embraces and those sudden perceptions of beauty and sensations of pleasure,
but we're immediately returned to Boogie Street."

Ballad of Lucy Jordan
At the age of 37
She realized she'd never ride
Through Paris in a sports car
With the warm wind in her hair

Cómo pudo sucederme a mí

Cómo pudo sucederme a mí

Cómo pudo sucederme a mí

And as I climb into an empty bed
Oh well. Enough said.
I know it's over - still I cling
I don't know where else I can go
Oh...
Oh Mother, I can feel the soil falling over my head
See, the sea wants to take me
The knife wants to slit me
Do you think you can help me?
Sad veiled bride, please be happy
Handsome groom, give her room
Loud, loutish lover, treat her kindly

More than she loves you)

I know it's over
And it never really began
But in my heart it was so real
And you even spoke to me, and said :
"If you're so funny
Then why are you on your own tonight ?
And if you're so clever
Then why are you on your own tonight ?
If you're so very entertaining
Then why are you on your own tonight ?
If you're so very good-looking
Why do you sleep alone tonight ?
I know...

'Cause tonight is just like any other night
That's why you're on your own tonight
With your triumphs and your charms
While they're in each other's arms...
It's so easy to laugh
It's so easy to hate
It takes strength to be gentle and kind
Over, over, over, over
It's so easy to laugh
It's so easy to hate
It takes guts to be gentle and kind
Over, over
Love is natural and real
But not for you, my love
Not tonight, my love
Love is natural and real
But not for such as you and I, my love

Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of you.
You were trying to break into another world
A world I never knew.
I always kind of wondered
If you ever made it through.
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of you.
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of me.
If I was still the same
If I ever became what you wanted me to be
Did I miss the mark or
Over-step the line
That only you could see?
Seen a shooting star tonight
And I thought of me.
Listen to the engine, listen to the bell
As the last fire truck from hell
Goes rolling by, all good people are praying,
It's the last temptation
The last account
The last time you might hear the sermon on the mount,
The last radio is playing.
Seen a shooting star tonight
Slip Away.
Tomorrow will be another day.
Guess it's too late to say the things to you
That you needed to hear me say.
Seen a shooting star tonight
Slip away.

King Crimson - Ladies of the Road
A flower lady's daughter
As sweet as holy water
Said: "I'm the school reporter
Please teach me", well I taught her.
Two fingered levi'd sister
Said, "Peace", I stopped I kissed her.
Said, "I'm a male resister",
I smiled and just unzipped her.
High diving chinese trender
Black hair and black suspender
Said, "Please me no surrender
Just love to feel your Fender".
All of you know that the girls of the road
Are like apples you stole in your youth.
All of you know that the girls of the road
Been around but are versed in the truth.
Stone-headed Frisco spacer
Ate all the meat I gave her
Said would I like to taste hers
And even craved the flavour
"Like marron-glaced fish bones
Oh lady hit the road!"
All of you know that the girls of the road
Are like apples you stole in your youth.
All of you know that the girls of the road
Been around but are versed in the truth.

King Crimson - Epitaph
(Fripp-McDonald-Lake-Giles-Sinfield)
The wall on which the prophets wrote
Is cracking at the seams.
Upon the instruments of death
The sunlight brightly gleams.
When every man is torn apart
With nightmares and with dreams,
Will no one lay the laurel wreath
As silence drowns the screams.
Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back
and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.
Between the iron gates of fate,
The seeds of time were sown,
And watered by the deeds of those
Who know and who are known;
Knowledge is a deadly friend
When no one sets the rules.
The fate of all mankind I see
Is in the hands of fools.
Confusion will be my epitaph.
As I crawl a cracked and broken path
If we make it we can all sit back
and laugh.
But I fear tomorrow I'll be crying,
Yes I fear tomorrow I'll be crying.

People are strange when you're a stranger
Faces look ugly when you're alone
Women seem wicked when you're unwanted
Streets are uneven, when you're down
When you're strange
Faces come out of the rain

| Doors - Break On Trough (To The Other Side)
You know the day destroys the night
Night divides the day
Tried to run
Tried to hide
Break on through to the other side
We chased our pleasures here
Dug our treasures there
But can you still recall
The time we cried
Break on through to the other side
I found an island in your arms
Country in your eyes
Arms that chain us
Eyes that lie
Break on through to the other side
Made the scene
Week to week
Day to day
Hour to hour
The gate is straight
Deep and wide
Break on through to the other side

Starry, starry night
Paint your palette blue and grey
Look out on a summer's day
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul
Shadows on the hills
Sketch the trees and the daffodils
Catch the breeze and the winter chills
In colors on the snowy linen land
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your sanity
And how you tried to set them free
They would not listen, they did not know how
Perhaps they'll listen now
Starry, starry night
Flaming flowers that brightly blaze
Swirling clouds in violet haze
Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue
Colors changing hue
Morning fields of amber grain
Weathered faces lined in pain
Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand
Now I understand
What you tried to say to me
And how you suffered for your…

Johnny Thunders was known for a lot of things,
but introspective lyrics were never really one of 'em.
That said, though,
the ex- New York Doll occasionally cleared his veins (and his mind)
long enough to deliver some surprisingly poignant songs
-- "It's Not Enough,"
"Sad Vacation,"
and "I Only Wrote This Song for You"
come immediately to mind.
However, the most eloquent and touching composition he ever recorded
and arguably the crown jewel of his catalog
is the positively transcendent
"You Can't Put Your Arms Around a Memory"

"OLD SOULS"
Our love, is an old love baby
is older than all of our years
I had seen in strangers eyes
familiar tears
We're old souls, in a new life baby
they gave us a new life to live and learn
some time to touch old friends and still return
Our paths have crossed and parted,
this love affair was started long... long ago
this love survives the ages
in its story lives are pages...
filled them all
made all slow
oh oh oh
Our love is stronger baby
we give it all and still receive
and so in empty arms
we must still believe
Old souls last forever
so we need never fear a goodbye
A kiss when i must go
no tears.....
in time, we kiss....... Hello!

Beef construction song
We need a man that is simple perfection
There's nothing that's harder to find
Someone to lead us protect us and feed us
And help us to make up our minds
We need a man that's sophisticated
Quiet and strong and well educated
Where to go what to do
Could it be somebody super like you
We need a man that can stand as a symbol
And symbols have got to be tall
Someone with taste and the tiniest waist
With his help would not life be a ball
If we had fun he would not restrain us
If we got caught he would just explain us
Where to go what to do
Could it be somebody super like you
We pledge allegiance to his gracefulness and charming manners
With a voice that's both sides choice he'll bring us to our knees in admiration
He is king of all who see and hear his perfect pitch
And more surprises when his time is come a stallion rises
We need a man with a head on his shoulders
A nose that is simply divine
Hollywood smile and a perfect profile
And with eyes that would sparkle and shine
Long flowing hair for a crowning glory
There'd be a man who could tell our story
Where to go what to do
Could it be somebody super like you
We pledge allegiance to his gracefulness and charming manners
With a voice that's both sides choice he'll bring us to our knees in admiration
He is king of all who see and hear his perfect pitch
And more surprises when his time is come a stallion rises
Rises...rises...rises

Rory Gallagher was the greatest rock/blues guitarist who ever graced this earth
and the likes we will never see again with a profoundly beautiful heart and soul.
My life was changed when Rory Gallagher touched it, his magic and affect on people cannot be explained
and will live til the end in all of the hearts of those who love him.

Ahora viene con la misma energía de siempre, una banda formada por Brendan O'Neil, Mark Felthan y el habitual Gerry McAvoy {pabelló Picadero}

Going to My Hometown
Mama's in the kitchen bakin' up a pie
Daddy's in the backyard
Get a job, son
You know you ought to try
I packed up my bag, I headed down the road
I got me a job from Henry Ford
But I made a mistake, I moved much too far
And now I know what the lonesome blues are
I'm getting lonesome, I'm getting blue
I need someone to talk to
I'm getting lonesome, I'm getting blue
Now let me tell you, now let me tell you
Now let me tell you, now let me tell you
Now let me tell you where I'm going to
Yes I'm goin' to my hometown
Sorry baby, I can't take it all
Well, I'm goin to my hometown
Sorry baby, I can't take it all
I have to walk
Only got one ticket
Good God I can't afford two
The day I left, I had shoes upon my feet
The day I left, I had shoes upon my feet
Got home again, honey
Don't even have nothin' to eat, oh yeah
|
Hey, goin' to my hometown, yeah
Yeah, and I don't care, have to walk
Yeah, goin' to my hometown
And I don't care, have to walk
I gotta move down, baby
No more time to talk, no, no, no
Yeah, I'm goin' to my hometown
And I'm leaving on the midnight train, yeah
Goin' to my hometown, baby
I'm leaving on the midnight train
Gotta keep on ramblin', yeah
Goe back to from where I came
I'm goin to my hometown
Goin' to my hometown
Goin' to my hometown
Goin' to my hometown
Do you wanna go?
Do you wanna go?
Do you wanna go?
Do you wanna go?
I got up against this
The cats and strangers walkin'
Is much to slow, yeah

Blues is easy to play, but hard to feel, Jimi Hendrix
(1962) ... and began playing gigs on the chitlin' circuit - see wiki on chitlin'
Hendrix used right-handed guitars, turned upside-down for left-hand playing,
and re-strung so that the heavier strings were in their standard position at the top of the neck.
This had an important effect on his guitar sound:
because of the slant of the Strat's bridge pickup,
his lowest string had a bright while his highest string had a mellow sound,
the opposite of the Stratocaster's intended design.

James Marshall "Jimi" Hendrix (born Johnny Allen Hendrix; November 27, 1942 – September 18, 1970) was an American guitarist,
singer and songwriter.
Although his mainstream career spanned only four years, he is widely regarded
as one of the most influential electric guitarists in the history of popular music,
and one of the most celebrated musicians of the 20th century.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame describes him as "arguably the greatest instrumentalist in the history of rock music."
Born in Seattle, Washington, Hendrix began playing guitar at the age of 15.
In 1961, he enlisted in the US Army, but was discharged the following year (when he was caught riding in stolen cars).
Soon afterward, he moved to Clarksville then Nashville, Tennessee,
and began playing gigs on the chitlin' circuit, earning a place in the Isley Brothers' backing band and later with Little Richard,
with whom he continued to work through mid-1965.
He then played with Curtis Knight and the Squires before moving to England in late 1966
after bassist Chas Chandler of the Animals became his manager.
Within months, Hendrix had earned three UK top ten hits with the Jimi Hendrix Experience: "Hey Joe", "Purple Haze", and "The Wind Cries Mary".
He achieved fame in the US after his performance at the Monterey Pop Festival in 1967,
and in 1968 his third and final studio album, Electric Ladyland, reached number one in the US.
The double LP was Hendrix's most commercially successful release and his first and only number one album.
The world's highest-paid performer, he headlined the Woodstock Festival in 1969 and the Isle of Wight Festival in 1970
before his accidental death in London from barbiturate-related asphyxia on September 18, 1970.
Hendrix was inspired by American rock and roll and electric blues.
He favored overdriven amplifiers with high volume and gain,
and was instrumental in popularizing the previously undesirable sounds caused by guitar amplifier feedback.
He was also one of the first guitarists to make extensive use of tone-altering effects units in mainstream rock,
such as fuzz distortion, Octavia, wah-wah, and Uni-Vibe.
He was the first musician to use stereophonic phasing effects in recordings.
Holly George-Warren of Rolling Stone commented:
"Hendrix pioneered the use of the instrument as an electronic sound source.
Players before him had experimented with feedback and distortion, but Hendrix turned those effects and others into a controlled,
fluid vocabulary every bit as personal as the blues with which he began."
Hendrix was the recipient of several music awards during his lifetime and posthumously.
In 1967, readers of Melody Maker voted him the Pop Musician of the Year

During the majority of his life, Vaughan struggled with alcoholism and drug addiction. He also struggled with the personal and professional pressures of fame and his marriage to Lenora "Lenny" Bailey.
He successfully completed rehabilitation and began touring again with Double Trouble in November 1986. His fourth and final studio album In Step reached number 33 in the United States in 1989; it was one of Vaughan's most critically and commercially successful releases and included his only number-one hit, "Crossfire". He became one of the world's most popular blues performers, and he headlined Madison Square Garden in 1989 and the Beale Street Music Festival in 1990.
On August 27, 1990, Vaughan and four others were killed in a helicopter crash in East Troy, Wisconsin, after performing with Double Trouble at Alpine Valley Music Theatre. An investigation concluded that the cause of the accident was pilot error.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme - perejil, salvia, romero y tomillo
A good herbalist will tell you that Parsley isn't just for making a steak plate look good.
It is an herb that is holistically used to treat indigestion.
However, during medieval times herbs were believed to have an equivalent spiritual benefit.
Indigestion is frequently referred to as "heartburn" because as too many Americans know,
it makes the chest hurt in the are near where the heart is found.
Due to general lack of understanding the medical sciences, this feeling of indigestion often led folks to believe that their heart hurt.
Thus, parsley was prescribed to heal the hurting heart.
The herb, Sage, has long been a symbol of strength.
Rosemary represents faithfulness, love, and remembrance.
The loving Greeks used to give sprigs of Rosemary to each other,
and Greek brides traditionally wore a few sprigs of it in their hair on their wedding day.
Rosemary, though, is usually symbolic of feminine love because this herb is very tough and strong, but it grows very slowly.
Rosemary is also the symbol for prudence and sensibility.
Ancient Roman doctors used to put Rosemary underneath the pillow of someone who had to perform a difficult mental job.
He suffered from Crohn's disease for most of his life.

Ashgrove
Well when I was a young boy
I used to slip away
Down to the Ashgrove
To hear the old blues men play
There was Big Joe and Lightnin'
And Reverend Gary too
Well I'd sit and stare and dream
Of doin' what they could do.
Well it's been thirty years since the Ashgrove burned down
And I'm out on this highway travelin' town to town
Tryin' to make a livin'
Tryin' to pay the rent
Tryin' to figure out where my life went.
I wanna go back to the Ashgrove
That's where I come from
I wanna go back to the Ashgrove
That's where I belong.
Well you don't have to go searchin'
Pretend to put on airs
'Cause the blues are gonna find you someday, somewhere
Now my mother's gone
Now my father's gone
And all the old blues men have all passed on
And I'm out on this highway travelin' town to town
Settin' up my gear and then I'm tearin' it down
Turnin' up my guitar
Standin' on the stage
I'm just tryin' to raise the ghosts up out of their graves.
I wanna go back to the Ashgrove
That's where I come from
Yeah I wanna go back to the Ashgrove
That's where I belong.
Well I can't say I been all sinner
Can't say I been all saint
I've done some good deeds and I've made big mistakes
I been in and out of love
Said words I regret
I been drunk, been sober
Smoked too many cigarettes
And I'm out on this highway travelin' town to town
And the news on the radio just brings me down
Intolerance and fear
Ignorance and lies
It's the same old same old I heard a million times
And I'm thinkin' of friends and lovers
And how they come and go
Like look-alike houses on the side of the road
Full of everyday people tryin' to get ahead
Tryin' to find a reason just to get out of bed
'Cause we all need somethin' just to get us through
Well I'm gonna play the blues tonight man
'Cause that's what I do.
I'm goin' back to the Ashgrove
That's where I come from
I'm goin' back to the Ashgrove
That's where I belong.

Harlan County Line
Another morning, another motel bed,
Another city waitin' up ahead
Light another menthol, to clear my mind
Of those memories I pretend to forget,
Cause I always want to live with out regrets
But, yeah
I still think of her from time to time
Only she's still livin' across the Harlan County Line
Now when we met we were both livin' far from home
Tryin' to get by and tired of being alone,
For a moment I thought she was mine
Cause she had a voice I just wanted to believe
She said her mother was full blood Cherokee and her
Daddy was a union man down in the mines...
Fighting the good fight across the Harlan County Line
People can be Noble, and People can be Cruel
They'll make you President or they'll make you a Fool but,
She always treated me nice and kind
Until that day she left me on my own said there
Was trouble she had to handle back home
Then she gave me a number and said call any time
If I ever made it across the Harlan County Line
Now the years disappear out on the highway
And I lost her number somewhere along the way
So I'll say a little prayer that she's doing fine
Another morning, another motel bed,
Another city waitin' up ahead
And another small memory to leave behind
Somewhere across the Harlan County line
Across the Harlan County Line

The reason for why he would call his album Berlin had nothing to do with the city itself.
In fact, he never even visited the city.
“I love the idea of a divided city”, Reed famously stated.
Berlin is a brilliant album as it shakes us from our contentment. It is an uncomfortable album – a sort of cabaret from hell.

Bruckner - Symphony No.7 "Adagio" -
Berliner Philharmoniker - Wilhelm FURTWÄNGLER - Legendary recording : 01/04/1942, at Berlin - New mastering in 2017 by AB for CMRR
The Adagio (Sehr feierlich und sehr langsam) from Bruckner's 7th Symphony was broadcast by the German radio (Deutscher Reichsrundfunk) upon announcing the news of Hitler's death on May 1, 1945
The Bruckner's Finale is a combined fugue and sonata form movement: the first theme (characterized by the downward leap of an octave) appears in the exposition as a four-part fugue in the strings and the concluding theme of the exposition is presented first as a chorale in the brass, then as a four part fugue in the development, and culminating in a double fugue with the first theme at the recapitulation; additionally, the coda combines not only these two themes but also the main theme of the first movement.
The WAB numbers, used in the table below, refer to the Werkverzeichnis Anton Bruckner
In the 2018 article The 20 Greatest Symphonies of all time from BBC Music Magazine, his symphony Symphony No. 7 is placed at the 20th position. Bruckner also holds the 13th place with Symphony No. 8.

The album, Wildflowers, released in 1994, is commonly vaunted as Tom Petty’s most personal, most heartfelt, and most revealing artistic statement of his career. Recorded over the course of two years and originally intended to be a two-disc album, it was perhaps the most creative period in his life.

I was just a boy when I sat down
To watch the news on TV
I saw some ordinary slaughter
I saw some routine atrocity
My father said, don't look away
You got to be strong, you got to be bold, now
He said, that in the end it is beauty
That is going to save the world, now
And she moves among the sparrows
And she floats upon the breeze
She moves among the flowers
She moves something deep inside of me
|
I was walking around the flower show like a leper
Coming down with some kind of nervous hysteria
When I saw you standing there, green eyes, black hair
Up against the pink and purple wisteria
You said, hey, nature boy, are you looking at me
With some unrighteous intention?
My knees went weak,
I couldn't speak, I was having thoughts
That were not in my best interests to mention
And she moves among the flowers
And she floats upon the smoke
She moves among the shadows
She moves me with just one little look
|
|
You took me back to your place
And dressed me up in a deep sea diver's suit
You played the patriot, you raised the flag
And I stood at full salute
Later on we smoked a pipe that struck me dumb
And made it impossible to speak
As you closed in, in slow motion,
Quoting Sappho, in the original Greek
She moves among the shadows
She floats upon the breeze
She moves among the candles
And we moved through the days
and through the years
|
Years passed by, we were walking by the sea
Half delirious
You smiled at me and said, Babe
I think this thing is getting kind of serious
You pointed at something and said
Have you ever seen such a beautiful thing?
It was then that I broke down
It was then that you lifted me up again
She moves among the sparrows
And she walks across the sea
She moves among the flowers
And she moves something deep inside of me
She moves among the sparrows
And she floats upon the breeze
She moves among the flowers
And she moves right up close to me

I wish I was a fisherman
tumblin' on the seas
far away from dry land
and it's bitter memories
Castin' out my sweet line
with abandonment and love
no ceiling bearin' down on me
save the starry sky above
with light in my head
with you in my arms ...
|
I wish I was the brakeman
on a hurtlin fevered train
crashin head long into the heartland
like a cannon in the rain
With the feelin of the sleepers
and the burnin of the coal
countin the towns flashin by
and a night that's full of soul
with light in my head
with you in my arms ...
|
And I know I will be loosened
from the bonds that hold me fast
and the chains all around me
will fall away at last
And on that grand and fateful day
I will take thee in my hand
I will ride on a train
I will be the fisherman
with light in my head
you in my arms ...
|
|
I was longing to be wooed
I was ready to be humbled
by the words that you had written
by the syllables you mumbled
Yeah, I was ready in my heart
to have my heart invaded
by the fervor of your passion
yes, I came to be persuaded
But when I heard your ragged voice
something switched in my perception
and I knew I was the victim
of a beautiful deception
All my once exact beliefs
like tangled threads unraveled
I walked out stunned and liberated
and so began my travels
|
CHORUS:
Keep the river on your right
and the highway at your shoulder
and the front line in your sights, Pioneer
Keep your eye on the road
remember what you told her
this is all in code, my dear

"You better get yourself a coat"
said the handsome taxi driver
and he sighed like seven bridges
like a natural-born survivor
As we drove into the night
I could feel the forest jangling
all the choices laid before me
and their consequences dangling
We came upon a stricken ship
that must have once been splendid
the captain as he died said
"Boys, our revels now have ended"
I heard a wild holy band
playing jazz that was outrageous
that recalled the days of rapture
when our love was still young and contagious
[CHORUS]

In a dim-lit motel room
two sad lovers were discoursing
on the dignity of exile
and the merits of divorcing
She said "All certainty is gone"
but he leapt up, still denying
cried, "I won't believe the flame I lit
is dead or even dying"
She left him drooling in the dust
and with rucksack packed begun her
bitter journey to the border
which is where I wooed and won her
She was Aphrodite, Helen, Thetis
Eve among the satyrs
she was Venus in a v-neck sweater
she was all that ever mattered
[CHORUS]
|
Like Dean Moriarty's ghost
I came in quest of secret knowledge
in the winter of my journey
to a crumbling Druid college
There I read the books of lore
and contemplated in seclusion
but I took my leave embittered
still in love with my illusions
In the drizzling Irish rain
as a tender dawn was breaking
in a doorway I stood spellbound by
the ancient music they were making
I took my breakfast with the gods
on a blushing summer morning
to a wind blew them all away
without a moment's warning
[CHORUS]
|
Under cold electric light
I watched the scenes mutating
like an old-time frontier ballad
or a carousel rotating
As if in a moment from a film
with astonishing precision
the camera zooms in closer
and a figure comes into vision
I'm in Tokyo; it's dawn
and it's raining hallelujahs
down the bright-lit neon canyons
along the sidewalks of Shibuya
I'm trying to take a stance
and rise above my contradictions
but I'm just a bunch of words in pants
most of those are fiction
[CHORUS]

"Wild is the wind" is a song written by
Dimitri Tiomkin (musica) and
Ned Washington.
The track was originally recorded by Johnny Mathis for the 1957 film "Wild is the wind".
The song has been recorded many times,
including twice by Nina Simone, first on the live album "Simone at Town Hall" (1959)
and the in a studio recording included on "Wild is the wind" (1966).
David Bowie recorded a verison of it for his 1976 album "Station to station".
Bowie was an admirer of Simeone's style, and after meeting her in Los Angeles in 1975,
was inspired to record the song for his album.

Tú no puedes volver atrás
porque la vida ya te empuja
con un aullido interminable,
interminable...
Te sentirás acorralada
te sentirás perdida o sola
tal vez querrás no haber nacido,
no haber nacido...
Pero tú siempre acuérdate
de lo que un día yo escribí
pensando en ti, pensando en ti,
como ahora pienso...
|
La vida es bella ya verás,
como a pesar de los pesares,
tendrás amigos, tendrás amor,
tendrás amigos...
Un hombre solo, una mujer,
así tomados de uno en uno,
son como polvo, no son nada,
no son nada...
Entonces siempre acuérdate
de lo que un día yo escribí
pensando en ti, pensando en ti,
como ahora pienso...

Otros esperan que resistas,
que les ayude tu alegría
que les ayude tu canción

Nunca te entregues ni te apartes
junto al camino nunca digas
no puedo más y aquí me quedo,
y aquí me quedo...
Entonces siempre acuérdate
de lo que un día yo escribí
pensando en ti, pensando en ti,
como ahora pienso...
|
La vida es bella ya verás
como a pesar de los pesares
tendrás amigos, tendrás amor,
tendrás amigos...
No sé decirte nada más
pero tu debes comprender
que yo aún estoy en el camino,
en el camino...
Pero tú siempre acuérdate
de lo que un día yo escribí
pensando en ti, pensando en ti,
como ahora pienso...

Album (original master recording), full album (**** Hyde Park 1969), can't find my way home (live) ; in the Presence of the Lord ; Sea of Joy
To symbolize the achievement of human creativity and its expression through technology a space ship was the material object. To carry this new spore into the universe, innocence would be the ideal bearer, a young girl, a girl as young as Shakespeare's Juliet. The space ship would be the fruit of the tree of knowledge and the girl, the fruit of the tree of life.
The space ship could be made by Mick Milligan, a jeweller at the Royal College of Art. The girl was another matter. If she were too old it would be cheesecake, too young and it would be nothing. The beginning of the transition from girl to woman, that is what I was after. That temporal point, that singular flare of radiant innocence.
Seidemann approached a girl reported to be 14 years old on the London Tube about modelling for the cover, and eventually met with her parents, but that she proved too old for the effect he wanted. Instead, the model he used was her younger sister Mariora Goschen, who was reported to be 11 years old. Mariora initially requested a horse as a fee but was instead paid £40.
The image, titled "Blind Faith" by Seidemann, became the inspiration for the name of the band itself, which had been unnamed when the artwork was commissioned.

Very interesting :
Some songs :
Between 1070 and 1976, the British drummer Ginger Baker lived in Nigeria, when he spent much of his time hanging with Fela. The two men had met in London in the early 1960s, when Fela was studying at Trinity College of Music. "Fela used to come to sit in at the all-nighters in the Flamingo", says Baker. "He was playing trumpet then and he was good."

"Our disability doesn't have to be a handicap. It's not about what you can't do. It's about what you do. And what we do is sing good gospel music." - The Blind Boys of Alabama
Polly Jean Harvey, born 9 Oct 1969 in Yeovil
A very rare talent
In 1995 he co-produced PJ Harvey's "To Bring You My Love", on which he also played guitar, drums, percussion and organ.
Rid of Me is not just an album — it’s a raw, unnerving confrontation.
Released in 1993 and produced by Steve Albini, PJ Harvey’s second record strips everything to the bone: arrangement, emotion, even decency.
What’s left is a fearless document of rage, power, and vulnerability that redefined what female expression could sound like in rock music.
Where her debut Dry suggested intensity, Rid of Me delivers it in full, teeth-baring form.
The guitars are jagged and skeletal.
The drums sound like they were recorded in a room made of concrete.
Albini’s no-frills production preserves every scrape, every breath, every rupture—never once smoothing over the discomfort.
This is not studio polish—it’s presence, and it's often brutal.
Harvey herself is nothing short of volcanic.
On the title track, she whispers, howls, and commands with terrifying precision, shifting from seductive to vengeful in a heartbeat.
“50ft Queenie,” “Rub ‘Til It Bleeds,” and “Man-Size” are declarations of dominance and defiance, while songs like “Legs” and “Snake” explore obsession and pain with unflinching honesty.
Lyrically, Rid of Me is poetic and confrontational.
Harvey weaponizes gender, sexuality, and vulnerability, confronting societal expectations while never descending into caricature.
It’s not empowerment in the feel-good sense—it’s empowerment through unapologetic truth.

Inolvidable e indescriptible.
Disfrutamos muchísimo y fuimos todos a una.
