Our Two Pet Pussies (photographed in 2012 when five years old)

[Please don’t tell them that the collective term for house cats is a “nuisance”!]

Cute Animals, Mostly Cats

“Excuse Me,
Did You Lose a Cat?”

This is probably the most amazing picture of 2011.
Please don’t spoil it for me by saying Photoshop has been at work!

I ate as much as I could, but we’ve all got a limit

Raised by penguins, Domino was always a little “different”.

My New Friend

I just found this guy wandering around looking for some sympathy so I befriended him.

Come on you at the back, give a helping hand

We hope it doesn’t rain

Peace in the Maasai Mara between Cheetahs and an Impala

Photographer Michel Denis-Huot captured these amazing pictures on safari in Kenya’s Maasai Mara in October 2011; he was astounded by what he saw.

“These three brothers (cheetahs) have been living together since they left their mother at about 18 months old. On the morning we saw them, they seemed not to be hungry, walking quickly but stopping sometimes to play together. At one point, they met a group of impala who ran away. But one youngster was not quick enough and the brothers caught it easily”.

These extraordinary scenes followed.

And then they just walked away without hurting him.

Cheeky, Naughty and Lovable Dogs

But... But... My paws ARE still on the ground, so technically I’m not on the furniture!

I will love you all my life.

Cheerfulness is contagious, but don’t wait to catch it from others,

Before you see what happened upstairs... I really love you

Amur Leopard

The Amur leopard — the world’s most endangered cat — received a big survival boost in April 2012 when Russia announced the creation of a new national park that will cover 60% of its remaining habitat. Amur leopards are critically endangered, with as few as 35 left in the wild, after the loss of much of their forest habitat

There’s another cat to be found in my Puzzles page. Try finding that one too.

Bengal Tiger: Find the Cat

A Bengal Tiger rests like a striped shadow in the Bandhavgarh National Park in India. Can you find it?

And here are some more cats and dogs that are really friendly...

What, who, us? We were nowhere near the toilet paper roll. Not us, no way

What, time to get up already?

Don’t worry, Larry, they’ll have to come through me if they want to take you to the pound

OK, on three, we all roll over

You’re kidding – she said that?

Here, I brought him back; next time he goes for a walk, you go and get him

He’s mine, I caught him, you can’t have him, he belongs to me, so there

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to bite your tail so hard; I was only teasing

Hmmmm, have you been eating onions?

Hey Irvin, your ear weighs a ton and I’m stuck

Don’t worry about her saying you’re fat; I love you just the way you are

Wait a minute, ain’t I supposed to put my paws over my eyes if you hide?

Actually Rex, I think it’s your turn to change the channel

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

So I ran after the ball, then I chased a car, and then I went and got the paper; hey, aren’t you listening?

OK, I’ll be the doughnut this time and you be the doughnut hole

“They” say that cats don’t like water, and that dogs don’t like cats, but someone has got their wires crossed

You give up yet?
