Hiph'il imperfect, first person plural of

1. those verbs פ"י —and פ"ו too—, not having a צ as their medial root consonant:

נוֹעִיל | נועיל ----- we) will gain profit (Job 21:15

[יָעַל] ----- profit

נוֹצִיא | נוציא ----- we) will bring out (Num 20:10

יָצָא ----- go out (Gen 10:11

REMARK.

יָצָא is an exception.

נוֹסִיף | נוסיף ----- we) will cause to add

יָסַף ----- add

2. some other verbs follow this path too.

נוֹלִיךְ׀ נוליך ----- we) will cause to go

הָלַךְ ----- go, walk (Gen 26:26

3. verb זוּל where it means, in the hiph'il, lower the price.

נוֹזִיל | נוזיל ----- we) will lower the price

4. verb בּוֹשׁ, be ashamed:

נוֹבִישׁ | נוביש ----- we) will cause to be ashamed
