REMARK. In the hasar haniqud do not mistake for ptr P-t227 nor for ptr P-t228

It is a variant of ptr PI-d063. It is used for verbs having a guttural as their last root consonant.

Hiph'il imperfect, 3rd. person masculine singular of the following verbs:

1. Verbs פ'י having a צ as their 2nd root consonant and, as said, a guttural as their last root consonant:

יַצִּיעַ | יציע ----- he) will spread out (Isa 58:5

[יָצַע] ----- lay, spread

2. Verbs פ'נ having, as said, a guttural as their last root consonant:

יַסִּיעַ | יסיע ----- he) will cause to move

נָסַע ----- journey (Gen 33:17

יַבִּיעַ | יביע ----- he) will pour out (Psa 19:3

[נָבַע] ----- flow, spring

3. Verb נוחַ, rest.

יַנִּיחַ | יזיל ----- he) will despise

יַלִּין | ילין ----- he) will recriminate

REMARK. Be aware of the great changing in the meaning of the hiph'il beside the meaning of the qal.
