Niph'al imperfect, 1st person singular of verbs פ"י that either have no guttural among their radicals or are of 2nd guttural. Initial yod becomes waw, that is written doubled in hasar haniqud:

(וָ)אִוָּסֵר | איווסר ----- and) I will be chastened (Jer 31:18

יָסַר----- to chasten, discipline (cf 1Ch 15:22

אִוָּסֵד | איווסד ----- and) I will be founded

יָסַד----- to found, set up (Psa 104:5

אִוָּאֵשׁ | איוואש ----- I will be desperate

יָאַשׁ----- to desperate
