Graphic variant of P-m08 i.e. Hif'il imperfect, apocopated 3rd person singular masculine of verbs which are at the same time פ”נ and ל”ה. Look too at P-d164.

It is normally used as the word is preceded by the conjunction ו.

נָטָה ----- to strecht out, to incline (Gen 33:19

(וַ)יַּךְ | יך ----- and) he'll smite/struck (Job 2:7

[נָכָה] ----- to smite, to struck

(וַ)יַּז | יז ----- and) he'll cause to spring

נָזָה ----- to spring

:NOTE. Sometimes in the Bible the conjunction waw got a shewa
then the yod has no dagesh
