Qal imperfect, 3rd person masculine singular of the verbs פ"י and of those which follow their path. The stress falls on the last but one syllable.

C.

Pattern P-d106 takes a segol instead of a tsere in the first root conso-
nant where the word is followed by a maqef. The stress falls on the last ('milra') unless the next word is a monosyllabic word: then the stress is on the last but one ('milel').
