Two forms of Huph'al/Hoph'al of several kinds of verbs:

1. 3rd person masculine singular of the past:

a. of verbs ע"ו or ע"י excepted those having a guttural א or ה as their last radical:

הוּקַם | הוקם —–– he) was made to stand up (Exo 40:17

קוּם ––– to stand up (Amo 5:2

הוּשַׁב | הושב —–– he) was returned (Gen 42:28

(לָ)שׁוּב ––– for) returning (Exo 4:21

הוּנַח | הונח —–– he) was made to rest (Lam 5:5

(לָ)נוּחַ ––– for) resting (2Sa 21:10

הוּעַר | הוער —–– he) was awaken

עוּר ––– to awake

NOTA: For the verb

b. of most of the verbs ע"ע:

הוּחַל | הוחל —–– it was begun (Gen 4:26

חָלַל ––– to pollute

הוּפַר | הופר —–– he) was made to break

סָבַב ––– to go around (Eze 42:19

c. of some of the verbs פ"י:

יָסַד ––– to found (Psa 104:5

2. Construct infinitive: the samples given in 1 are good here too. But of course the meaning will be the infinitive instead of the past.
