One of the patterns of the 1st person singular Qal imperfect:

1.

of verbs ע"ע . Remember that the last consonant vanishes:

(וָ)אֶדֹּם | (ו)אדום----- and) I will be silent (Job 31:34

דָּמַם----- (#) to be/grow dumb, be silent

אֶקֹּב | אקוב----- (#) I will curse

קָבַב----- (#) to curse

אֶדֹּד | אדוד----- (#) I will flee

נַדַד----- (#) to flee, retreat

2.

of those verbs פ"י that have a צ as the 2nd root consonant:

אֶצֹּק | אצוק----- I will pour (Isa 44:3

יָצַק----- to pour (Lev 8:15

of some verbs פ"נ:

אֶפֹּל | אפול----- I will fall (1Ch 21:13

נָפַל----- to fall (Jdg 5:27

אֶטֹּל | אטול----- I will put, set

נָטַל----- to put, set

אֶקֹּב | אקוב----- I will pierce

נָקַב----- to pierce
