Another telephone call:
“Thanks for your help. I’m sorry it didn’t all go our way.”
“You can’t win them all. I hope I did what I could.”
“More than anyone dared to expect.”
“Still, I enjoyed myself with those young people — they’re so clever. Now I must move on and find some more clouds to paint. You can still call on me whenever you want; once a spy, always a spy! I’ll be in touch.”
“Indeed,” says Monty. “Goodbye, Gert.”
This is fiction. However an event occurred recently which could have affected us rather like my description in Chapter 1.
So here’s the Reality check!
