His work and monumental sculptures have been exhibited and belong in private and public collections in Spain, Japan, Argentina, Mexico, Guatemala, Ecuador and Peru. Since 1987 he has been visiting professor at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya, Escola Universitaria Politécnica de Barcelona, in a monographic course on Antoni Gaudí’s life and work. Since 1998 he has been responsible for Research Group Gaudí and Catalan Modernism, the architectural and artistic style of 1900, at Universitat Politécnica de Catalunya. In 1980, he started taking part in courses, seminars and conferences at several universities and forums in Spain, France, USA, Mexico, Italy and Argentina, about Gaudí’s work. Since 1994, he has organized the International Conferences on Gaudinist Studies. From 1993 to 2003 he directed the Centre of Gaudinist Studies. In 2003 he took part in the creation of Taller Gaudí - EPSEB .UPC, of which he is the academic director as well as directing the Archive of Architectural Heritage of Catalunya EPSEB UPC. He has published several articles and books on the art and technique of Antoni Gaudí, amongst them, the book Gaudí y el Registro de la Propiedad, published by Institut Gaudí de la Construcció.
This winner sculpture is given every two years as an award to the best rehabilitations of buildings in Casco Viejo and Bilbao la Vieja in Bilbao.
