Introduction
These are the final two chapters to the "Tarragona: World Heritage Saga".
This two levels are engaged and you will jump forward and backward to TWH9 before finish the game in TWH8. TWH9
takes its title from one Isaac Asimov book (The Caves of Steel).
Warning!
There are two scripts in the ZIP:
- Script0109.dat This one is compatible with all the published TWH levels. Copy it to c:\Program Files\Core Design\Trle
and rename it as Script.dat The script will crash if TRWH1 (Escipion.tr4) is not installed.
- Script.dat If you only have installed levels 8 and 9, use this one. Copy it to c:\Program Files\Core Design\Trle
then you must choose "The Final Countdown".
There are several Volumetric Effects in the TWH9 level. It is recommended to activate
the Volumetric FX with the Tomb Raider Setup utility.
There is a Level/Script compatibility problems. I have discovered that modifying some Animations (like weapons animations)
can result in incompability to jumping to a level created with a non modified wad. In the TWH case it means that jump
from level TWH7 to TWH8 is not longer working. I have not find how Core Design fixed this issue and I have choose to
keep the modified wads due to the hours that I have expend changing the weapons and switch animations (1 hard week).
If you do not hear some sound probably that is due to the fact that you do not have installed the "patched wads" and its
sounds. You can find it at

If you use your custom script its possible that you lose the name of the objects, the background music and the load
screen. If you decompile the script and you use the FlyCheat code, be aware that impossible/unexpected situations, like
reach some where before time, objects that do not work as supposed, ... I have work in some of them but ... Good look!
I have developed the level using the default colour settings of my graphic card (Desktop, Direct3D and Glide/OpenGL
settings R:1.30 G:1.30 B:1.30), and less some rooms that are intentioned dark, I am able to see fine rooms. If you see
too dark, may be you need to adjust the brightness, contrast or graphic card defaults.
Recognitions
Most of the objects and textures that you will find in the level are created by me from scratch or original TR objects
rebuild by me. There are a few exceptions:

Objects
Let me thanks Tomo from his Laser, Velociraptor and Pterodactyl. The Laser is modified by my but
the original moving blade was kindly provided to me by Tomo.
Thanks also to Justin. I have taken his Grenade Gun as base to my Grenade Gun and Shot Gun. The animations
for those weapons are modified for me.

The Final Countdown
Synopsis
At TWH7 end Lara was shotted to the space in a Alien space ship. Lara has replaced his original costume by a space suit
(1). Unfortunately this few moments are censured. Now, dressed with her
new suit, she must find the way to came back to home.
Walkthrough
As you will notice, there are a lot of doors in the space ship. To automatically open those doors, the central computer
checks the Level Access Cards. The Blue Level is free.
In the Dressing Room you will find the Green Access Card (2).
With the Green access granted Lara will be able to investigate the Cabins in the labyrinth corridors of the
Stern Deck. From any of the Green Cabins Lara will be able to use the Ventilation System to access .
the Yellow Cabins. In one of the cabins, under a Pillow, Lara will find the Yellow Card
(3).
In the second Yellow Cabin you will find a device with the Stern Deck map: Starship Level Map
(4). Select the object from the Menu to zoom it. The starting position is the
entrance to the Stern section, where a camera shows the door opening in the far end of the section. The squares are the
corridor intersections and the arrows shows the path to reach the far end and keep the door open. Crossing the door
you will fin the Navigation Room CD (5). Now we have completed
that section.

In the Blue Corridor (6) Lara will find the Revolver and
LaserSight. Use the Revolver with one piece of glass in the ceiling. This piece is different to the others. Now
you can climb to the top of the corridor, shot against the Grate to access the bottom of the corridor. Hidden
behind one of the lights there is the 1st Secret, shot against the light (7)
and pick up the Silver Skull. Follow the bottom of the corridor and find a new grate that will give you
access to the central corridor. Here you can open the door and using again the top of the corridor reach the last grate.
In that place there are several doors, one is the door to the Blue Corridor, do not open the second door for the moment
(8), if you want to find the 2nd Secret.
Follow the corridor till find a Trap Door in the floor. Use the Revolver with the Fire-Extinguisher
(9), the explosion will open the door. This trap door will give you
access to the 1st Hangar, but previously follow the corridor to find the 2nd Secret is the Green Skull
(10).
In the Alien Shuttle you will find the Red Card. Now you can access the Navigation Roomthat is
located in the Red Level, close to the Dressing Room (11).
Use the Navigation Room CD to start-up the Computer, the door to the Control Room is opened. Select one Galaxy, Star and
Planet. If you Select the "Via Lacteal" the "Earth" will be displayed in one of the Monitors. The right selection is the
Earth (4th switch in the left section), Via Lacteal (3rd switch in the central section) and the Sun
(2nd switch in the right section). This selection will give you access to the room where is located the Crowbar.
The Yellow Card give you access to the Starship Deck. There are two Arm-Chairs
(12), move first the right one two positions and the door to the 3rd Secret
the Golden Skull will be opened. The left arm-chair will show a Crowbar Switch, use the Crowbar and
a Trap Doorwill be opened. This will give you access to the Service Tunnels.
Once in the tunnels, a Fly-by shows you a enemy attack. Several fires starts on the Spaceship
(13). Save the 1st timed set of fires, shot against a couple of grates and a new
explosion starts a second fire aboard. The fire extinguish system control is placed at the end of the corridor, use the
Revolver with it and the fire will be controlled. Save the last timed fires and reach the Lab
(14).
Under an Alien corpse you will find the Lab CD that will open the exit to the level.
The Caves of Steel
Lara is now teleported to an external platform in the enemy Alien ship. One switch will open 6 doors in this section.
The yellow squares open 4 cages that contains an estrange device. Those devices are Security Robots and can not
be destroyed with Lara weapons. Before activate any of the robots pickup all the Medipacks, you will need it. Now Lara
must find two alien artefacts: The Mother and The Father, and place the in its holes to open the 5th cage.
Keep Lara running and changing her direction to avoid to be killed by the robots.
The 5th cage will give access to a kind of Alien Chapel. In this chapel there is a pool and in its centre
there is an Statue (1). Keep Lara running and jump to the centre
of the pool, the green waters are not safe for Lara. Push the statue inside the water, the water will become safe. Jump
to the water and 3 of the robots will be destroyed with the water the last one will explode over the statue
(2). There is an underwater switch that opens the exit door. In the Lara way the
water came back two its green colour. The Snake Switch opens the 6th cage. In Chapel is located the 1st
Secret the Silver Skull, Lara must jump and turn in the air to avoid the open doors over the green waters
(3).
Using a Skull Switch Lara will access to the real bowel of the enemy ship: The caves of Steel. This is a
big cave with several lasers running in circles. There are 5 Pyramidal Keys in the floor level of the cave, you must
find the way to reach them and place in its holes. Start using the South Step-Ladder. In the Southeast Corner
there is the 1st Hole, the 2nd Hole is in the South wall, pickup previously the South East Key. Cross the
middle labyrinth to reach the West wall. From here you can easily access the two east keys. In the Southwest corner is
located the 2nd Secret the Green Skull. The 3rd Hole is located in the Northeast Corner. Climb the
Northeast Corner, back jump before to reach the top of the ladder and find a way jump to the top of the centre labyrinth.
Now you can reach the middle section of the central labyrinth. Now the 4th Hole is the Southwest corner is
accessible. After place the 4th key, came back to the middle section of the central labyrinth and find in East wall
the access to the Northeast Key. The 5th Hole is in the Northeast corner, to reach it you must perform continuous
jumps on the adjacent slopes (4).
After place the 5th Key the zip line will become operational, but the exit is not yet opened. To open it, you must find
previously the two pieces of the Alien Artefact. The first piece is just next to the Zip, you must monkeyswim in
the central labyrinth (5). The second part is in the glass section
hanging from the central labyrinth (6). Its entrance is next to the
monkeyswim section. Place the Alien Artiface in its place and the floor of the cave will be opened.
Under the cave a Skull Switch will activate the floor of the West Labyrinth
(7). Without activated it is not possible to find its exit the lighting floor
shows the right path. After save the three floors a switch will open the exit of the cave.

The new area Rail Lasers, is the lower level of the Elevators Section (8).
Note: The lasers are not real TR4 objects. I have tried to set this puzzle as fine us possible, but take in my that
after recover a savegame the laser will be in an unpredictable position. This happens because really TR4 do not knows
how to deal with this kind of objects. In this part you must find the switch that will open the access to the next
area.
Elevators. A fly-by shows you the path to follow. Notice that the exit point in the ceiling is locked. The Bar
Switch will open one exit in the ceiling. Take the 1st Elevator (9)
and wait to the corridor that connects with the second one. Jump to the 2nd Elevator, you will must take a
Medipack previously. Jump to hold the corridor between the 2nd and 3rd Elevators (10)
, if not the 3rd Elevator will be higher than the Switch Corridor. Jump to the 3rd Elevator
and use the Bar Switch. The exit opened, is over the 1st Elevator, came back to it and reach the exit
(11).
The next room is a Pit with Lasers(12). In the far end a switch will open
the access to the StarShip Reactor. Use a Medipack, monkeyswim to the center of the room, quickly pickup the blue
grenades and use this ammunition to cegate the enemy Aliens. After press the switch enter to the Reactor area.
In the Reactor Area (13), is placed the 3rd Secret the (14). The entrance is over one of the Glass Corridors, Lara can
monkeyswim the pink ceiling.
In the StarShip Deck a Device will Stop the Reactor, opens a door in the Reactor Room and inactivate the Laser
Pit. Now you can access the Arsenal (15)next to the Pit Room: you will
find a Mine. In the Reactor Room a switch (16) will open the Reactor.
Close the Reactor and Start-up it again (Deck). The Mine will Explode and you have a few second to find the
Teleportation Device (17) to save Lara.
The Final Countdown (2)
Lara is back to the Friendly Alien Ship (15). Take the Alien hand it will
open several doors. In the labyrinth corridors is hidden the 4th Secret. Near the live Friendly Alien is
the 5th Secret. Go to the Hangar and use the Hand inside the ship. Climb to the top of the ship (16), shot against the windows and open the exit door. Enter into the next control
room, pick-up the CD, shot against the windows, enter the second ship and use the CD: destination the Earth.
