The purpose of infectan.com is the recollection of specialized medical terminology of infections which, most often, is difficult to be found in common dictionaries. The complexity of the disease’s name, the rareness of the infectious processes or their causal agent, or the naming they acquire from the country of origin and specific geographical area, implying a more definite word search.

As a curiosity, infectan.com provides graphic documentation that offers very interesting illustrations of these pathogens that, because of their microscopic size, can’t be seen with the bare eye and need to be visualized under high resolution microscopes. These micro-organisms amplified photographs present spectacular images.

In conclusion, infectan.com is a bilingual dictionary that pretends to gather, within this specialized field, the medical terminology that defines infections and infectious diseases and translate them to Spanish. This should be a guide to health profesionals and anyone interested in these diseases.
